He added to FHM magazine: "I lose respect for people who disconnect their video tape player. If you don't have a record player, if you don't have a vinyl player that you can play, if you don't have your VCR still connected to your TV, you go down a little bit in my estimations."

Условные предложения 2-го типа относятся к настоящему или будущему и содержат нереальные (невыполнимые) условия: если бы вы вошли в дом к Квентину Тарантино…

2. You could come to my house to visit and bring a copy of a magazine with you and put it on the counter, and three years later you could come back and that magazine would still be on that counter.

Хотя в этом предложении нет союза if, в нем также рассматривается нереальная ситуация в настоящем и будущем (через три года), и действуют те же правила, что и в условных предложениях 2-го типа.
